HTC Holiday And Lead Coming To AT&T With 4G LTE Radio?

Verizon Wireless and Sprint networks are already having 4G capable smartphones. T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon are having some HTC super phones set to release in the near future. In order to give a tough competition to these three carriers, AT&T has to make something big, by adding more high-end powerful devices, and 4G LTE capability under the hood if possible.

HTC Holiday and Lead For AT&T

We’ve already told you that AT&T is prepping two dual-core HTC handsets – HTC Holiday and HTC Lead. The latest rumors are speculating that both these handsets will be having HSPA+/LTE capability – turning to be AT&T’s real ‘4G’ phones and LTE technology will enable to reach speeds up to 21.1Mbps downstream and 5.76Mbps upstream. This must be a great news for AT&T’s customers who have been waiting for LTE capable smartphone launch, since HTC Thunderbolt has launched on Verizon’s LTE network.

Specs wise, HTC Holiday is a monster as it is having a massive 4.5” inches qHD display (from now onwards, Samsung Infuse 4G won’t be treated as the only bigger smartphone with 4.5” display!), filled with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS, runs on Qualcomm MSM8660 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 8 megapixels camera at the backside  and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1GB RAM and Bluetooth 4.0 (because of newer model BCM4330), and more.

HTC Lead is going to be a slightly lower-end version of the HTC Holiday and it will be shipped with 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 processor supported by 768MB RAM, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread along with HTC Sense 3.0, including a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, fixed with 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0, and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity. No front facing camera for this handset though.

A tablet is also heading to AT&T on the name of HTC Puccini and it has also been rumoring to launch with 4G LTE radio inside.
