AT&T is already branding the bigger Samsung Infuse 4G with its massive 4.5-inch display, and HTC is also gearing up to release a 4.5-inch touch screen fitted HTC Holiday smartphone for the same carrier. Then T-Mobile gonna do what? It won’t stay behind the clouds. According to the latest rumors, T-Mobile is going to get a smartphone on the name of Samsung “Hercules” that is twice as powerful and just as big as Samsung Infuse. T-Mobile’s 2011 Road Map reveals that Hercules is set to hit the T-Mobile stores in the U.S. on September 26th at unknown price point.
Samsung Hercules is going to be monster for sure, featuring all high-end specifications and solid hardware that should get some people really excited.
Hercules is rumored to be having 4.5-inch WVGA (480 x 800) Super AMOLED Plus display, powered by a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm APQ8060 processor with Adreno 220 GPU, running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, paired up with an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, which should record video in 1080p, and an additional front-facing camera, a 42Mbps radio inside (Category 24 HSDPA), Category 6 HSUPA for 5.76Mbps upstream, support for T-Mobile’s AWS band with 850/1900MHz compatibility to work with AT&T’s HSPA+ “4G” network.

Hercules comes with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of flash storage, NFC chip, and MHL support. It is not confirmed yet if this handset will be sporting HDMI port or not. Samsung Galaxy S II isn’t having HDMI port, but Infuse 4G is having HDMI port.
It is being confirmed that T-Mobile will be releasing two handsets – Samsung Exhibit 4G, and Samsung Gravity Touch 2 “GT2” on June 8th, which are going to be affordable mid-range spec’d handsets. HTC Sensation 4G is also going to land on T-Mobile network on the same day.
