Just a day ago, We told you about Verizon and Motorola’s official announcement regarding Motorola Droid X2 (pronounced as X squared X2), that it was going to grace Verizon network, starting May 26th with a price tag of $199.99 on a two year contract and that interested folks pre-order starting May 19th. So if you are thinking about not to bear 199 bucks on this handset, you should immediately head over to Amazon Wireless, because the online retail giant is now offering it for $149.99 only – that is $50 less than the original pricing value of Verizon. The device is listed as ‘backordered’ and shipping in 1 to 2 weeks.
Motorola Droid X2 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS, but it will be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread at some point which we’re thinking is in the very near future. Droid X2 is featuring a large 4.3-inch scratch-resistant and anti-reflective touchscreen display that should deliver a qHD resolution, running on Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz CPU paired up with 512MB of RAM, 720p HD video recording capability with the help of its 8 megapixel camera, which is having LED flash, continuous auto focus, and an option to share the captured photos to Flickr and FB with fast access. 8GB onbaord memory, including an 8GB card inserted while the memory can be extended up to 32GB, 3G connectivity support, Wi-Fi connectivity, along with the enterprise-ready with security and IT-grade policies, Mobile Hotspot capability with support for up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices and powered by a 1540 mAh battery.
Sadly, Droid X2 isn’t equipped with front facing camera for video chats and it is lacking 4G LTE capability of Big Red’s network.
