Microsoft is holding a Windows Phone event on May 24th at New York to announce the Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 ‘”Mango” update features. But according to some untrusted rumors, Microsoft is also planning to unveil 9 new Windows Phone 7 handsets. We’re not sure if they decided this before or after the news of Nokia jumping in with Windows Phone 7. Back in October 2011, Microsoft has launched nine handsets powered by windows Phone 7 OS. And it seems the Redmond company is going to follow the tradition by announcing 9 new WP7 phones.
Microsoft will be releasing 4 new Windows Phones made by Samsung, 2 HTC made Windows Phones, 2 Windows Phones from Acer, and only 1 Windows Phone from Dell. Details and names of the handsets are still unknown at the moment. We are expecting the rumored HTC Bresson with 16 megapixel camera to be unveiling at the event in the New York. The source is reporting that Samsung Samsung Windows Phone will be some sort of reincarnation of the Galaxy S II. We are hoping that Sammy will be using Super AMOLED Plus display in this handset. Dell Windows Phone is expected to be called as Dell Wrigley with QWERTY keyboard. As usual, Dell is releasing only one WP7 handset. yes Dell has launched Dell Venue pro handset in last year. Don’t expect any handset form Nokia at the tomorrow’s event. The going-to-be announced WP7 phones may not hit the markets for the next 3-4 months. So it’s just going to be a formal announcement.
