We’ve already reported that the Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE pre-orders availability will start from June 8th. Sammy has also announced that the Wi-Fi only edition of Galaxy tab 10.1 will be available to purchase starting on June 8th exclusively with limited edition at the Union Square Best Buy store in New York, NY, with availability expanding to the entire nation, you will be able to pick it up from June 17th at Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics, Amazon.com, Micro Center, Tiger Direct and Newegg. You can pre-order it at Best Buy’s online stores and in-stores from June 8th.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi edition will be available in two variants. The 16GB variant will cost you $499, and the 32GB variant will cost you $599.
Except the 4G radio and 3G connectivity, the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be having Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz chipset, 10.1-inch HD capacitive display with 1280 x 800 pixel of resolution, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Flash Player 10.2, Samsung Mini Apps Tray, Social Hub, Reader’s Hub, Music Hub, 6860mAh battery and much more. Galaxy Tab 10.1 is also having dual cameras – 3 megapixel camera at rear side capable of recording 720P HD video and the 2 megapixel front facing shooter for video chats. The tablet can playback video at 1080p HD format. It is only 8.6mm thick and weighs 1.25 pounds.

The Android 3.1 Honeycomb update will be introducing the re-sizable widgets, Movies tab in the Android Market, some UI tweaks and an overall change provides a much more stable experience along with support for various USB plug and play devices. The users will be able to configure an HTTP proxy for separate Wi-Fi access points just by tapping and holding the access point in the settings menu.
