We have already reported most of the specs of Blackberry Torch 2. A new comparative study can be seen here after a preview of the device. BlackBerry Torch 2 has a virtually identical form factor to the original Torch, but the Torch 2 has an upgraded specifications in almost every section from the OS to the Processor to the camera to the RAM. The Torch 2 upgrades the processor up to 1.2GHz from the 624MHz of the original with noticeable performance improvement.
The Blackberry Torch 2 also has an increased the RAM size to 768MB and its internal memory is doubled to 8GB while you can still increase storage up to 32GB with a microSD card. Apart from the standard 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, proximity and ambient light sensors, it has been added with a magnetometer. There are unconfirmed reports of Near Field Communication(NFC) circuitry too.
Next upgrade is the screen resolution, from 480 x 360 updated to 640 x 480 pixels. Though the touch sensitivity and user-friendliness of the previous version was a pain, Torch 2’s touch sensitivity and interact activity has also been increased a lot. The Torch 2 has the same 5 megapixel camera with a continuous autofocus but it can now capture video in 1280 x 720p HD. The BlackBerry Torch 2 is running the latest OS BlackBerry 7.

Even after these attempts to reinvent itself for the tech savvy customers, RIM may be still falling behind. All these specs which RIM just upgraded are already floating in the current market in Apple iPhones and Android Phones and RIM is yet to introduce this device to the market. latest reports hints the device hitting AT&T this summer.
