Samsung Exhibit 4G & Gravity SMART Launches On June 22nd

A couple of days ago, T-Mobile has officially unveiled two affordable budget priced Android handsets – the Samsung Gravity SMART (on the right side), and the Samsung Exhibit 4G (on the left side). The carrier has announced these two handsets will arrive “sometime in June”. But, now we’ve the exact release date of these devices. According to a leaked screenshot of a memo, T-Mobile and Samsung announced that the both handsets will be hitting all the carrier’s sales channels on June 22nd. Previous leak has revealed that the Exhibit 4G handset will be releasing on June 8th.

The Samsung Exhibit 4G comes running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, on a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM, and comes preloaded with T-Mobile TV (offers free programming from FOX Sports, ABC News Now, and more), Samsung Media Hub, Doodle Jump, Bejeweled 2, and Scrabble. Samsung Exhibit 4G will be having HSPA+ connectivity giving the phone the ‘4G’ title with theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21Mbps, Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, along with a 3 megapixel camera with LED flash on the rear side and a front facing VGA camera for video chat, and rocking on 3.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1GB ROM, 8GB pre-inserted micro-SD card, memory expansion support for up to 32GB.

Samsung Exhibit 4G will be packed in violet or black colors, priced at $79.99 price after a $50 mail-in-rebate and a signed 2-year contract deal with the carrier with qualified voice and data plans.

The Samsung Gravity Smart features a four-row slide out QWERTY keyboard, running Android 2.2 (which is out-dated already) with a 800MHz chipset, T-Mobile’s Group Text service with a 3.2-inch touch screen, pre-installed Swype application, and equipped with an LED flash equipped 3 megapixel camera. Samsung Gravity SMART is the first Android flavored phone in the Gravity series and is basically a messaging device that offers group text, and comes with 384MB RAM, 512MB onboard storage, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion support up to 32GB.

Samsung Gravity SMART is having two pricing options – the Lunar Gray model is a mere $29.99, while the Berry Red and Sapphire Blue models check in at $69.99. Takers should be signing the two-year contract after a $50 rebate with voice and data plan.
