Along with the official announcement regarding the release date and price info of the Sprint branded HTC EVO 3D handset, the carrier has also announced that the HTC EVO View 4G tablet release details. Rumors become true in this tablet’s case as well. As we told you earlier, this device will be hitting the Sprint stores in the U.S. on the same day June 24th with a price tag of $399.99 along with HTC Scribe capacitive stylus for free. Otherwise it will be available for sale at $79.99, for a limited time. Takers are requiring to sign a two-year contract with the carrier.
The included mobile hotspot feature lets the users to connect up to 8 Wi-Fi capable devices simultaneously, and users will have to pay $29.99 a month to utilize this feature. Monthly data plans start at $34.99 for 3GB of data each month.
Officially announced at the end of March month’s CTIA event, HTC EVO View 4G is essentially Sprint’s version of the HTC Flyer 7-inch tablet.
HTC EVO View 4G comes equipped with a a 4G WiMAX radio inside it, running on a Single-Core 1.5GHz chipset with 1GB RAM, sporting a 7″ capacitive touch display, and it has got a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3 megapixel front-facing cameras, DLNA functionality, Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI port, powered by a 4000mAh battery, Android Market, and a full host of Google and Sprint services. There is no word on the tablet optimized Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS update for this tablet, while its variant HTC Flyer has got the official word on getting the Honeycomb upgrade, but the the manufacturer hasn’t updated it yet as promised earlier.
