As predicted earlier, Sprint has just officially announced the Motorola Photo 4G, along with Motorola Triumph at a joint press conference event by the Motorola Mobility and Sprint in New York. Motorola Photon 4G is the Sprint’s first Motorola device with 4G WiMax support and a dual-core 1GHz processor.
Motorola Photon 4G is a world phone for Sprint and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, powered by a powerful 1GHz dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 processor, sporting a 4.3-inch qHD display of 960 x 540 resolution, 8 megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash capable of recording 720p HD video, 1080p HD video plaback over HDMI, and a VGA front-facing camera for video chats, 16GB of onboard memory with support for memory expansion up to 32GB via microSD card, 1GB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, HDMI mirroring, Wi-Fi, 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability letting you to connect to as many as 8 Wi-Fi devices to be connected and use the active internet connection available on the mobile phone. And it is powered by a 1700mAh battery. The device also supports various docks like Multimedia Dock, car Dock and webtop etc., and is also coming with a kickstand (like the Evo 4G ).
Price & Availability:
Motorola Photon 4G is expected to arrive on T-Mobile in the next month (summer). There is now official word about the pricing of Photon 4G yet.
