Sprint’s unannounced Samsung SPH-D600 handset has already been leaked in more than a couple of photos that surfaced towards the end of last month. But we didn’t know the exact code name of the this handset, which is having the latest Gingerbread flavor of Android OS, and 4G connectivity. Folks over the Pocket Now have said that the SPH-D600 has been confirmed to be launching by Sprint on the name of Samsung Conquer 4G.
The Samsung SPH-D600 or Conquer 4G has got 320×480 display, equipped with a side-sliding out QWERTY keyboard, Sprint’s super fast 4G WiMAX connectivity, 3.1 megapixels rear-facing camera, an additional front facing VGA camera to make video calls, and powered by 1GHz processor. This handset is expected to arrive with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, according to a previous leak. The Samsung Conquer 4G is being reported as a low-end version of the Samsung Epic 4G. The code name ‘Conquer 4G’ has been listed in the recently leaked screenshot of the Sprint inventory system. According to the screenshot, the Samsung Conquer 4G should be hitting the U.S. markets on July 24th. We expect this to be priced in the budget price range (for what it’s worth) making it an affordable choice.
