The folks over This Is My Next tech blog have come up with the leaked roadmap of Sprint Q3 (from July to September, 2011) smartphone releases of this year. We will be seeing two BlackBerry handsets, two powerful Samsung handsets from Sprint in the third quarter of this year.
The source has indicated that Sprint is releasing a Samsung-made “full touch 4G” handset, which is expected to be the Sprint’s WiMAX version of Samsung Galaxy S II aka Galaxy Within, which is rumored to be hiting the Sprint retails stores in late July. Other wise the mysterious handset could be the Samsung Conquer 4G, which is believed to be hitting the shelves in next month.
The another Samsung handset is going to interesting. The source has confirmed that the new Samsung Epic 2 will be releasing in Q3 of this year on Sprint. Epic 2 is the successor of the Samsung Epic 4G handset, and it will be sporting a 4-inch display, a full side-out physical QWERTY keyboard, a single-core 1.2GHz Hummingbird processor, and an 8-megapixel camera on the back side of the handset.
Sprint is also gearing up to launch two RIM-made BlackBerry phones – Bold Touch and Monaco. BlackBerry Bold Touch is also known as BlackBerry Bold 9930. Sprint will release both these handsets with GSM global roaming capable radio inside. Previous leaks are suggesting that Sprint is expected to release the BB Bold 9930 handset in August month. Source is also claiming that Sprint is bringing a push-to-talk BlackBerry handset, named as Curve 8350i. That’s all we have now regarding Sprint’s forthcoming smartphone lineup for the third quarter of this year.
