Verizon’s Motorola Droid 3 Specs Leaked ; A Gingerbread World Phone?

Verizon’s upcoming Motorola Droid 3 has been teasing us for months. We have been seeing it in a series of regular leaked images. And more recently we have got some more details about the specs that the device is going to feature along with its possible release date . Thanks to a newly leaked Verizon internal document, we can now talk about the specs that this smartphone going to feature.

According to a new leaked document posted at Android Central, Verizon Droid 3 will pack a 4-inch qHD display of 540 x 960 pixels resolution, will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording, front-facing camera for video chat, 16GB of internal memory, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, microSD support for memory expansion up to 32GB, Slide-out keyboard, Swype, mobile hotspot feature that lets you share the phone’s internet connection with up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices, Adobe Flash, DLNA connectivity, VCAST service and the Blackbuster video. More importantly, Droid 3 is going to be a world phone which can be used on any GSM network in the world.

And we already knew that the delay in the release of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread to Verizon Droid 3 Global was due to this particular phone, and apparently it was also mentioned in the leak that the Droid 2 Global will get the update “soon after Droid 3 launch”, though we are not sure when exactly the official launch is going to happen.
