Sprint’s Premier Customers Can Grab It From July 28th At Sprint’s Online Stores
Sprint’s upcoming high-end spec’d Android powered, first WiMAX based Motorola device, the Motorola Photon 4G handset is hitting the markets on July 31st, priced at $199.99, and the takers are required to apply the two-year contract with the carrier. The handset was first officially announced on June 9th. Good news for Sprint’s premier customers, as they can pre-order the handset starting July 28th at Sprint website only for the same price tag, by being a long-term customer and meeting certain monthly spending goals. In addition to working on Sprint’s CDMA and WiMAX frequencies, Motorola Photon 4G is a world phone, so the users will be able to use it on 3G GSM networks outside the U.S.
Motorola Photon 4G is the first 4G device from the manufacturer, as Droid Bionic delayed on Verizon. It has got a 4.3-inch beautiful Gorilla Glass display with qHD (540 X 960) resolution, runs the latest Gingerbread OS, sporting an 8MP camera with dual-LED flash on the back to record video at 720p HD, VGA camera on the front, 3G/4G mobile hotspot support for up to 8 Wi-Fi clients, WiMAX, powered by a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, 1GB ROM, 16GB of onboard memory, support to expand the memory storage as much as 48GB using a micro-SD card, 1080p HD video playback over HDMI, Webtop compatible accessories, 1700mAh battery, built-in kickstand, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, international GSM capabilities, GPS navigation, pre-installed Sprint ID app, Sprint Music Plus app, Sprint TV & Movies app, Tap Tap Revenge game, weighing at 158 grams, and the battery can provide the talk time of up to 10.4 hours.
