A few days ago, we’ve seen the press shot of an unnamed mysterious Samsung QWERTY-slider phone for AT&T, and according to the sources, this same handset might turn out to be the AT&T’s exclusive version of the most awaited Samsung Galaxy S II. The folks over BGR blog have leaked out the images of the AT&T version of Galaxy S II with its huge 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display, which is having the full-slide out physical QWERTY keyboard. In fact, Sprint was the only carrier that has released the Keyboarded version of the original Galaxy S. But, it seems it is AT&T’s turn this year to release the QWERTY keypad equipped Samsung Galaxy S II handset.
According to the leaked images, AT&T’s Galaxy S II is having the model number SGH-I927, and is running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS, powered by Samsung’s own Exynos dual-core processor under the hood. Disappointed with Galaxy S II with QWERTY? We’ve a good news for you. It looks like AT&T is also gearing up to release another version of Samsung Galaxy S II, and it is said to be manufactured sans the QWERTY keyboard (prototype pictured at below), running with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS, and it would be sporting a WVGA display instead of the Super AMOLED Plus display as that of the original Galaxy II handset. We are not sure yet whether or not the AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S II handset will be branded as “Samsung Attain”.

There is now word on the release details, and the price info of the AT&T’s Galaxy S II variant. But earlier reports are suggesting that the Galaxy S II U.S. variants are set to launch in the US sometime in August, which is right around the corner. Hopefully, we will see two version of the Galaxy S II handset on AT&T air waves – one with QWERTY keyboard, and one without QWERTY. How do you feel about that QWERTY keyboard equipped Samsung Galaxy S II prepping to release by AT&T?
