A few hours ago, the Finnish manufacturer has announced the upcoming version of the Symbian OS, codenamed “Belle”. Four months ago, Nokia has introduced the Symbian Anna version. Right after the announcement of the Symbian Belle OS, the maker has introduced the new Nokia 600, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 smartphones powered by the new Belle OS. The new Symbian Belle brings NFC sharing and pairing functionality to the phones, along with 6 home screens, a dynamic lock screen to get you the alerts on missed calls & messages, live widgets in five different sizes, a pull-down taskbar, notification menu, a set of Microsoft applications like Lync, Sharepoint, OneNote, Exchange ActiveSync and PowerPoint Broadcaster.

The Nokia 600 aka “Cindy” is a budget priced, multimedia oriented smartphone and according to the manufacturer, it is an all-in-one entertainment hub with the loudest speakers on a smartphone to date registering at 106 phons. Nokia 600 runs new Symbian Belle OS, and packed with 3.2-inch nHD 360 X 640 touchscreen display, 1GHz ARM 11 processor, 5MP full focus camera with LED flash to record 720p HD video, 2GB of internal memory on board (with support for up to 32GB), Bluetooth 3.0, FM transmitter & receiver, built-in NFC technology, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, Nokia Maps, a whole host of Nokia services and its battery life rated at 15 hours of GSM talk time. Nokia 600 is having a built-in FM radio antenna so that you don’t need to connect the ear phones to turn the radio on.

Nokia 700

The Nokia 700 aka “Zeta” is claiming to be the world’s most compact touchscreen monoblock smartphone to date, constructed using green materials such as bioplastics and recycled metals, featuring a 3.2-inch AMOLED "ClearBlack" display with Gorilla Glass at 360 X 640 pixels of resolution, backed up by 1GHz CPU, 5MP full-focus camera with an LED flash, 2Gb onboard memory, microSD card slot, pentaband 3G radio, NFC, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and the battery is said to be providing a talk time of 7.3 hours.

Nokia 701

The Nokia 701 aka “Helen” is referred to be having the brightest screen in the world to date, filled with new Symbian Belle OS, sporting a 3.5-inch IPS-LCD display with ClearBlack technology & Gorilla Glass, 1Ghz processor, 8 megapixel rear-facing full focus camera with dual LED flash, paired up with an additional front facing webcam for forwarding video calls, and 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 40GB using via microSD card), NFC feature, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, micro USB 2.0, pentaband 3G radio, GPS, FM radio, and its battery is rated for close to 9 hours of talk time in 3G mode.

All these three Nokia Belle phones will be hitting the markets in the Q3 of this year. Expect the Nokia 600 unlocked version for an affordable price tag of $260, while the Nokia 700 handset costs $360 on an unlocked version and look for the unsubsidized version of the Nokia 701 in the same quarter with a price tag of $430. The new Symbian Belle OS is also coming to Nokia E7, N8, C7, C6-01, X7, E6 and 500 phones later this year. Check out the videos after the break.
