Sprint has recently launched its cheaper 4G WiMAX enabled Android phone, the Samsung Conquer 4G. Verizon’s customers will be also getting chances to buy a 4G LTE (faster than 4G WiMAX speeds) capable phone very soon. Pantech-made Verizon branded Android OS powered handset “Breakout” is set to launch as mid-range 4G LTE capable phone. Specs wise, Pantech Breakout will be having the latest and greatest version of the Android OS – v2.3 Gingerbread (first LTE phone to ship with Gingerbread flavor) , 1Ghz processor, 4” WVGA touchscreen delivering 480 X 800 pixels of resolution, 5MP camera at back side, front-facing camera to make video calls, 512MB RAM, 390MB internal memory, an 8GB microSD card included, Swype, Pantech’s custom UI, Mobile Hotspot for up to 10 devices with 4G LTE connectivity and it will be sporting all other regular features of an Android phone.

The Motorola Droid Bionic will be the next LTE phone to release on Verizon air waves and the rumored HTC Vigor handset with LTE connectivity is also set to release later sometime following the Droid Bionic’s launch.
Price & Availability
The price value and the release details of the Pantech Breakout handset have yet to be finalised officially. But, we can say that the Breakout will be the most affordable 4G LTE device to date.
