We are just a few more hours ahead of today’s Samsung event to see the U.S. models of the Samsung Galaxy S II handset. But, Samsung has unexpectedly announced the Sprint variant – Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (So big! Say it SGSIIE4T) through its Mobile Product Training website. It looks like It looks like the manufacturer has done a little tweaking of the GSII and we can take the report of upgrades to the original Samsung Galaxy S II handset. The screen size 4.32” is growing by 0.2" to 4.52". Yes, the Sprint’s variant is sporting a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. In fact, all the three variants of the Galaxy S II for the U.S. carriers have got 4.5-inch screen. Earlier, we’ve seen the leaked press shot of the Sprint branded Samsung Epic 4G Touch handset.
Unlike the Galaxy S II LTE variant, Sprint’s variant isn’t sporting 1.5GHz dual-core CPU. There is still the same 1.2GHz dual-core processor of the original Galaxy S II. Samsung has also confirmed the 4G WiMAX capability for the Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch handset. However, this handset has got an "ultra-thin" design, and an Advanced Android Experience. We really don’t have any idea about the “Adv. Android Experience”. The camera and OS specs should remain the same – 8MP camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
