AT&T’s first LTE based device and its first 4G LTE enabled Android powered tablet, the HTC Jetstream is now available to purchase on the AT&T air waves for a whopping price tag of $699.99 on contract. The users should be committed to sign a two-year contract agreement with the carrier. Yes you read it right. It’s $699.99..! The real issue here is price. Most of you won’t mind paying for a good product like Jetstream from HTC, but this price tag is just too far out of the realm of reality and this price tag on the tablet itself is going to cause a big bit of heartburn and moreover, the tablet will work on AT&T’s brand-new, not-yet-fully-online 4G LTE network. We guess HTC Jetstream is going to a tough sell for that kind of heavy price tag.
Just like we said earlier, the HTC Jetstream has got a dual-core 1.5GHz chipset under the hood, which is a 3rd gen Snapdragon processor, and unlike the HTC Flyer, the Jetstream runs the tablet optimized operating system – the latest Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS on op of HTC Sense UX, while the Flyer is still stuck on Gingerbread. Jetstream also features 1GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flashat back side as well as a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera to make video calls, LTE 700MHz speeds, 32GB internal memory storage,a microSD card slot to hold 32GB memory storage, the regular cellular connectivity, Google Maps 5.0 with 3D-like interaction, Google Talk with video chat over Wi-Fi connectivity, powered by a 7300mAh battery and it comes preloaded with AT&T Family Map and AT&T Navigator, along with HTC’s own Watch and Friendstream apps.
