Android powered Lenovo LePad Tablet is scheduled to launch in the US early next year. Lenovo CEO stated his company’s intention to become the leader in the global PC market by competing with Apple’s iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab which are ruling the tablet PC market at present and upcoming BlackBerry’s PlayBook Tablet.
Lenovo is also planning to invest 15.1 million dollars to support the developers of mobile internet application & other services in developing LePad’s apps download store. Lenovo also said that Guangzhou Hua Yue Digital Technology Co. is the first company to receive support from the investment program to develop e-reader applications.
The pricing details of LePad tablet are not yet announced by Lenovo. At first, for LePad tablet, Google’s Chrome OS has been chosen to run, but be cause of some issues with this browser based Chrome operating system, which might store users applications & data online, Lenovo has decided to go with Android to run LePad.
