Sony (Ericsson)..! The company recently confirmed that Sony will acquire Ericsson’s 50% stake in the joint venture, making the mobile handset business a entirely-owned subsidiary of Sony. That’s the reason I am writing the word, ‘Ericsson’ in braces. We still don’t know whether the brand name would be Sony Ericsson – or just Sony for the future handsets from the companies. Well, in early September, we heard that Sony Ericsson is prepping an Android phone with 720p HD display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and the phone was said to be branded as ‘Nozomi’. But, the recent reports are claiming that phone might be launched as Sony (Ericsson) Xperia Arc HD and it will come with a 720p HD (1280 X 720 pixels) touchscreen display, as well as the ability to snap a Full-HD picture while you are recording a Full-HD video.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD aka Nozomi LT26i handset has been pictured and set of pictures have been uploaded to the web. According to the leaked pictures and the source, the handset should be sporting 4.3-inch 720p extra-high display, 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, Android 2.35 Gingerbread OS and it will be powered by a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor,
It should also pack a 12-megapixel camera with Sony’s mobile Exmor-R backlit sensor, which is the most exciting part of the handset. As 720p is the native resolution (consider the Samsung Galaxy Nexus case here) for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the handset should be launched preinstalled with Android 4.0 ICS.
