Verizon branded Motorola Droid Bionic is set to receive a massive software update. Today Verizon posted details of the Droid Bionic’s new firmware update on its official website, adding that the it is on the way. Verizon has posted the complete changelog for the Droid Bionic handset’s upcoming firmware update. Users will find the new software update bringing improved 3G and 4G connectivity, device stability improvements, and more. The Software update will bring the new build number 5.5.893 for the Droid Bionic handset. The full list of the improvements after the break.

Motorola Droid Bionic's Software Update 5.5.893

Motorola Droid Bionic users will be notified on their handsets to accept the update. You can pull the OTA update in manual process. so if you’ve got a Droid Bionic handy it might be worth it to head into Menu –> “Home” –> “Settings” –> “About Device” –> “System Updates” –> Make sure that Update is available –> If found the update, hit the ‘Download’ button and wait for some to finish the downloading the content, which totals 54.5 MB. Follow the on-screen instructions until the process to get finished –> Done. The Gingerbread goodness should be ready now to grace on your handset. After finishing the installation of the update, the software version should be shown as 5.5.893.
