Sprint’s First 4G LTE Capable Phone – Samsung Galaxy Nexus Is Coming

Samsung Galaxy Nexus is currently rocking Verizon network as the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS powered phone. We already knew that it was heading to Sprint. Yes, according to a leaked ad, Samsung Galaxy Nexus is set to launch on Sprint and it will be the first 4G LTE capable phone for the carrier. A couple of ads have popped up on CNet, featuring the Samsung-made Google Galaxy Nexus as “the first 4G LTE phone from Sprint”.

The ads have also revealed that the Sprint’s version of the Galaxy Nexus will feature an upgraded 1.5GHz dual-core processor instead of the 1.2GHz chipset on the international and Verizon version, but it will be shipped with the same 4.65″-inch Super HD AMOLED screen and Android 4.0 ICS as existing versions. Sprint has yet to announce the Galaxy Nexus officially and the carrier is set to launch its 4G LTE network in the middle of 2012.

As Sprint’s 4G LTE network is being expected to launch in mid-2012, we can say that Sprint will announce this beast at the quickly approaching CES 2012 event next week. Hopefully, we will also hear about the timeframe of the handset’s launch details.
