The white and black Motorola Droid RAZRs are old news now. A brand new Purple colored variant of Motorola Droid RAZR handset has been officially announced at CES event by the manufacturer. It has been officially confirmed that Motorola Droid RAZR Purple (black and white ones also) with 16GB internal memory plus 16GB microSD card will cost $199.99 on contract. On the other hand, the new Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx has 32GB internal memory and it will be available for $299.99. Verizon revealed that it will release some time in the coming months, but stayed mum on an exact release date for the new colored RAZR handset.
Good news is that according to an internal Verizon documentation, he Motorola Droid RAZR Purple is set to hit Verizon’s all channels on January 23rd. Purple colored Motorola Droid RAZR is having all the same specifications as that of the white and black colored models. It’s just 7.1mm thick. Other features include a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) Super AMOLED Advanced display, 1.2GHz dual-core TO OMAP 4430 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity, runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS plus all the regular features if an Android phone. It will be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
