A couple of days ago, Sony handsets line-up for 2012 has leaked online and we’ve been seeing more than a couple of unannounced Sony handsets making rounds online. According to the leaked roadmap, Sony is prepping to release Sony LT22i Nypon, MT27i Pepper and Sony ST25i Kumquat handsets in Q2 of this year. Xperia Blog is believing that the phone in the above image is an Android OS powered Sony ST25i Kumquat handset. The unheard Sony Nypon is believed to be having a qHD (540 x 960) display, while the Sony Kumquat is rumored to be featuring a smaller display (480 x 854) of FWVGA component. Kumquat is rumord to be successor of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray handset and this is the first time to got a look at the handset. You can observe that it is featuring a very similar form factor to the recently launched Sony Xperia S handset. You can also see an an illuminated light-up strip at the bottom of the phone.
Sony ST25i Kumquat comes with a 3.5-inch display with 480 X 854 pixels of resolution, 1Ghz dual-core processor from ST-Ericsson makers, unknown version of Android OS, 5MP rear facing camera with 720p HD recording capability, a front-facing shooter, and other usual features of an Android phone. We believe Kumquat will be introduced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. We will get you more details as soon as we get them.
