The black and white Motorola Droid RAZRs are old news now. Verizon Wireless is now also having the purple version of the Motorola Droid RAZR handset. Yes, it’s Purple! As of last Tuesday, Verizon cut the price on the Motorola Droid RAZR black all the way down to just $199.99 on contract. Anyone wondering why? I’d say it’s because the the newly announced Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX is only a few days away and priced at $299.99. The carrier is now also selling the 16GB Motorola Droid RAZR Purple and White variants for the same price tag of $199.99 on a contract. That means you will be getting a microSD card-less Droid RAZR unit.
If you didn’t buy your Droid RAZR Black yet since it was available because of its rather hefty price tag, now would be a good time to do so as Walmart has a good deal on it. Walmart hacked another $50 off of the original price tag, making each of the White and Purple Motorola Droid RAZR handsets available for just $149.99. That’s a pretty good and a reasonable price cut for a phone that has only been out for a couple of months and boasts 4G LTE speeds.
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX is expected to hit the markets on January 26th.
