LG Optimus Vu

The South Korean manufacturer has just officially unveiled the Android OS powered LG Optimus Vu handset. We’ve been hearing a lot about the LG Optimus Vu handset and we’ve already seen this beast posing against another super-sized Samsung Galaxy Note, which just went on sale in the U.S. over AT&T network. The manufacturer confirmed all the features of the LG Optimus Vu handset, that we’ve heard so far.

LG Optimus Vu Features:

# 5-inch IPS 650 nit display with 1024X768p resolution and a pixel density of 256 PPI.
# 4:3 Aspect Ratio.
# 8.5mm thick body
# A dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 processor with Adreno 220 GPU.
# Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and upgradeable to Andorid 4.0 ICS soon after its launch.
# Compatible with a specialized stylus.
# An 1.3-megapixel shooter out front, and an 8MP shooter ’round back.
# 32GB on-board storage (that means no SD card slot?).
# HDMI port, DLNA functionality, Wi-Fi Direct and T-DMB.
# 4G LTE connectivity.
# 2080mAh battery.
# 90.4mm thick wider display, which is difficult to handle and won’t fit for every one.

LG has confirmed that the Optimus Vu handset will start hitting the South Korean markets through SK Telecom and LG+ carriers in early March for an unknown price tag. LG will also present this handset at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event this month in Barcelona. Hopefully, we will hear about the U.S. availability of the LG Optimus Vu handset.
