Developers have been benchmarking the AT&T’s upcoming HTC One X handset with Snapdragon S4 Krait processor and we’ve already seen the HTC One X test units in the wild. It is being rumored that the handset is slated for mid-May launch. But, according to Best Buy, we will see the device as early as May and while things haven’t been confirmed, a customer received an e-mail from Best Buy claiming that the release date of the AT&T’s HTC One X handset has changed to May 6, 2012. Many AT&T customers have been eagerly waiting for an official word on when the upcoming HTC One X could hit the U.S.
Here’s the email from Best Buy:
Dear Miguel,
There’s been change to the release date for your pre-ordered item.
The new release date is 05/06/2012.
Best Buy has been offering pre-orders for the handset for a few weeks now and the big box retailer has mentioned about the release date change and it is referring it as the HTC One X, not as the HTC One XL, which would be the AT&T’s LTE version of the One X. The carrier has yet to announce the exact release date of this handset.
AT&T’s HTC One X handset will come with a 4.7-inch Super-LCD 720p display with 1280 X 720p resolution, Android 4.0 ICS with HTC Sense 4.0 UI, 1.5GHz Snapdragon “Krait” based dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear-camera with HTC ImageChip technology, 1080p HD video capture, Bets Audio and more.
