Earlier this year at CES 2012 event, The LG Viper 4G LTE handset was first unveiled alongside the another 4G LTE capable Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset. A few hours ago, Sprint has officially announced that it will start taking the pre-orders for the LG Viper 4G handset for just $99.99 after $50 mail-in rebate and the buyers are required to subscribe for a two-year contract with the carrier. The device will be available in all channels “later this month.” The carrier hasn’t specified the actual release date of the handset yet.

According to the previous rumors, Sprint is planning to get the LG Viper handset on shelves beginning April 15th. Verizon’s another upcoming 4G LTE capable Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset was also rumored to be launching on April 15th, but according to a reliable report. it may be available to purchase from April 22nd for an undisclosed price tag.
