Nokia is really going to have some big plans for the Symbian OS in 2011 with four to five major updates and it might be releasing dual core smartphones too. This exciting news has been revealed by Nokia senior manager Gunther Kottzieper, who was in attendance and gave a presentation at the 2010 International Mobile Internet Conference 2011 in Beijing yesterday, stated that Symbian UI will be a primary focus in 2011 and the first update will bring 50 enhancements along with overhauled Web browser UI and including “a new look and feel for the new user interface, a more flexible home screen, an updated HTML5 browser and an easier software update experience” features to add by second quarter, third quarter updates, according to a slide labelled “Nokia Symbian 2011 focus areas.”
Nokia is also planning to use 1GHz application processors in the upcoming “dual-core phones” with more graphics memory in the Q2 or Q3 and another exciting camera related technology called “true zoom camera” in late 2011 or in the first quarter of 2012.
2010 has been a tough year for Nokia smartphone releases. Hopefully, the company will come out swinging in 2011. Nokia has made some amazing phones in previous years. Why don’t they adopt new specifications and the current trends for the phones they make. They have already delayed the release of Nokia E7 until early 2011.
