Verizon's Samsung SCH-I535 UAProf

The Samsung Galaxy S III handset will be the first handset from the manufacturer to ship with the Samsung-made 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 quad-core processor. We already learnt that a Samsung executive suggested that U.S. version of the Galaxy S III handset would ship with dual-core processor due to the lack of LT radio on Exynos 4412 chip. A leaked User Agent Profile also clues us in on the powerhouse of Sammy’s next flagship, as well as gives us a good idea of what to expect from Verizon branded Galaxy S III handset.

The user agent profile clearly shows us that Verizon’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S III handset will be equipped with Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, sporting a 720p HD display, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and its model number is being mentioned as SCH-I535, which appears to be in right manner with other traditional model numbers of Verizon branded Samsung devices such as – Samsung Galaxy Nexus (SCH-i515), Droid Charge (SCH-I510) and Samsung Fascinate (SCH-I500).

It should ne noted that HTC has shunned the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip for its AT&T branded One X (or you can call it One XL) and it goes with the Snapdragon S4 processor. Tegra 3 chip hasn’t scored better than the S4 chipset in the benchmark tests of international and AT&T One X variants. In fact, Galaxy S III uses dual-core SoC in its AnTuTu benchmark tests.

According to Verizon’s fall smartphone lineup, Verizon is planning to release Samsung’s new flagship phone this summer. Samsung confirmed May 3 event in London for Galaxy S III device and the fact that it will be powered by a quad-core chipset under the hood. We should learn more bout the device at tomorrow’s event. Sty tuned for further updates.
