Misa Digital Instruments has just officially launched a full-fledged, market-ready product Kitara and Kitara Special Edition. Kitara is the 100% Digital Stringless Guitar. This could be an amazing gadget for musicians. Kitara cuts the old-fashioned strings and allows you to pluck your music on a multi-touch screen instead and you need to plug it into your own audio equipment and start experimenting in the studio or on stage. It is available for pre-order now. This guitar features an onboard polyphonic synthesizer and multitouch screen, where you can able to enjoy the real digital effects and create electronic music.
Kitara also sports 1.25-inch audio output, a regular 3.5-mm headphone out, runs on a Linux operating system and comes with 100+ digital sounds, 6 pre-loaded effects, 24 frets and 144 notes.
You can’t feel what you are plucking and you can’t see that touchscreen since you’re holding the instrument sideways. Isn’t it? But you can still feel the music and guide through it. There is a learning curve.
By the way, ‘Kitara’ is the Finnish word meaning for Guitar. Kitara is previously called as Misa digital Guitar. Kitara comes with an expensive price tag at $849 with Kitara Special Edition selling for $2,899. It is available for pre-order now here at Misa Digital Shop for an April delivery.
And yah, you can watch the Black Eyed Peas with one of these Kitaras in their next stage performance.
