Yah..You read it true. LG has just surprisingly announced the launching details of world’s first high configuration video playback & world’s most advanced mobile processor having LG Optimus 2X, running with dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 processor with 1GHz speed and 1080p HD video processor for flawless HD video recording capability. Dual-core Tegra 2 gives up to 2x faster Web browsing and up to 5x faster gaming. This phone has been leaking these days with a code name, LG Star.

LG Optimus 2X sports a stunning 4-inch WVGA display, 8GB inbuilt storage and microSD slot support for up to 32GB memory expansion, 8 Megapixels rear facing & 1.3 Megapixels front facing cameras, 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback and recording, HDMI mirroring, TV-out via HDMI, DLNA support, an accelerometer, a gyro sensor and 1,500mAh battery.

The unexcited thing is that Optimus 2X will be landing with Android 2.2 Froyo version but LG promises to upgrade it with Gingerbread OS version in due course. The LG Optimus 2X can be connected wirelessly to any DLNA compatible digital device such as HD TVs. So you can even use the HDMI connection to play Android games on a larger screen.

Price & Availability

The LG Optimus 2X will launch by next January, 2011 in Korea with releases in Europe and the rest of Asia to follow in the coming weeks. No pricing details & U.S. release details revealed yet.
