Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G LTE May Release On May 27th: Rumors

Sprint has started offering pre-orders for the HTC EVO 4G LTE handset since yesterday and the estimated date of the handset’s arrival is May 18th. Other source has also suggested that the handset’s release date is set for May 18th, the date that many users expected to see the handset make its highly anticipated debut. According to a Sprint representative, the HTC EVO G LTE handset is slated for hitting the stores on May 27th, says a well-placed source cited by PhoneArena website. The representative has also confirmed that the units should reach the stores on May 26th.

The handset can be purchased in advance for $199.99 on-contract or $449.99 as a full retail price tag from Sprint’s online stores. Wirefly has it for $149.99, making it $50 cheaper than the original price tag.

The device will be running Android 4.0 ICS, powered by a 1.2GHz Krait” based dual-core chip, 8MP rear & 1.3MP front shooters, 16GB eMMC, microSD card slot, a strong kickstand, NFC chip with Google Wallet support and there is a 4.7″ HD display.
