Apple iPhone users will be the first to have the opportunity to enjoy Google+ app’s new refresh, which brings a complete new look for the app’s iOS edition. Google+ app for iOS platform has received a massive overhaul today, bumping up the software version up to 2.0.0.5888. Unfortunately, Android users won’t see the newest version for at least a few more weeks. But, Thanks to Google. The search giant has officially confirmed that the Android update for Google+ app would include “a few extra surprises” in the coming weeks.
On its official blog, Google has mentioned that:
To be clear, we’re not interested in a mobile or social experience that’s just smaller. We’re embracing the sensor-rich smartphone (with its touchable screen and high-density display), and transforming Google+ into something more intimate, and more expressive. Today’s new iPhone app is an important step in this direction—toward a simpler, more beautiful Google.
Here’s the list of the changes coming with Google+ app update v2.0.0.5888 for iOS:
# New stream and navigation experience
# Looks better
# Responds more intuitively
# New appearance with sharp fonts
# Addition of the visual cues to bring more natural feel to the user
