To keep Verizon customers excited till its launch, this year’s most awaited Samsung Galaxy S III handset has made an appearance on NenaMark website. Results of a device by the model number SCH-I535 are in and they are looking quite good. SCH-I535 is rumored to be the code number of the Verizon branded Galaxy S III handset. NenaMark is a graphics performance benchmark for Android.
As you can see, the device packs 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU with “Adreno™ 225″ GPU. That means the device, SCH-I535 will indeed feature Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU with 4G LTE capability instead of the quad-core processor of the global version of the Galaxy S III handsets. We’ve been hearing that U.S. version of the Galaxy S III handset will be powered by dual-core CPU, because of the incompatibility of the quad-core CPU with LTE radio. Recently, we also head that Sprint branded Galaxy S III will pack a dual-core CPU under the hood. While the benchmark doesn’t reveal anything new here, the touchscreen resolution (1280 X 720 pixels) and Android version (4.0.4 ICS) have been confirmed. Of course, the carrier information has been listed as Verizon.
The Samsung Galaxy S III should hit the shelves in the upcoming months, so we’ll soon know which processor will power this device and how good a performer it really is.
