Asus begun pushing an update to the new Asus Transformer Pad TF300 this morning that brings some notable changes, a set of new features and improvements. The new firmware OTA update bumps the build number up to 9.4.3.29. Wi-Fi and camera versions get a bump up as well. The update brings Face Unlock feature to let you unlock the device just by seeing it, battery usage details and a significant boost in performance.
According to the reports, the small OTA update is also carrying improved stability for the device. “Boost in performance” is the highlight of this update. Previously, the tablet was having some problems while running too many tasks at one time. Wi-Fi and GSP were also improved. You will also get better and smoother experience.

If you own an ASUS Transformer TF300, you might want to check for an update manually. The update is rolling out now for everyone. You can see if it’s available on your device by hitting up Settings > About tablet > System Firmware Update and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrading process successfully. The new build number should be shown as IML74K.US_epad-9.4.3.29-20120511. The Android OS version remains at v4.0.3.
