Finally, AT&T and Nokia began rolling out the Windows Phone Tango update for the Nokia Lumia 900 handsets in the U.S. Finnish mobile maker has also confirmed that the Tango OS update is also being seeding out for Canadians versions of the Lumia 900s. Tango’s build no. is 8779 and the new firmware build is 12223. The most awaited Windows Phone 7.8 OS update will be rolled out by the end of this year. Nokia has mentioned two separate changelogs of the Tango update for Lumia 900s in the U.S. and Canada.
USA:

- Camera performance enhancements
- Battery performance enhancements
- Startup sequence performance enhancements
Canada:
- Flip-to-silence feature
- Support for Contacts Share app, to send and receive business cards as text messages
- Proximity sensor performance enhancements
- Removes purple hue which affected some phones in low-light conditions
- Startup sequence performance enhancements
- Camera performance enhancements
To download the tango update on your device, connect the Nokia Lumia 900 handsets to a PC and launch the Zune application. Now click on Phone > Settings > Update and check for the update availability. If you can’t wait for the update to show up on your device, you can try to force the update using the instructions below.
# Click on Phone —> Settings —> Update —> now disconnect your PC from the internet connection immediately after a few seconds.
# Wait 30 seconds or until and Zune displays a notification that an update is available and now connect to internet connection to finish the upgrading process.
