It seems LG is working on its most powerful smartphone yet, that will battle with high-end spec’d beats handsets like Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X or the upcoming Motorola Droid RAZR HD. A few days ago, some information leaked regarding the beastly specs of the yet-to-be announced LG Optimus G handset. LG has already started teasing its upcoming handset, which will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor with an Adreno 320 GPU.
Thanks to the folks over Androidmx, who have leaked a set of the images of the LG E973 Optimus G prototype, which is expected to be unveiled at IFA event very soon.
Previous rumors are suggesting that the LG Optimus G handset will include 4.7-inch IPS HD display with 1280 X 720 pixels of resolution and pixel density of 320ppi, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor paired with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM and the device will be accompanied with a 13MP camera on its back side, supports Voice over LTE technology, while the device will be shipped with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS (as seen on the pre-production unit) with Optimus UI on top of it and it should be upgradeable to Jelly Bean OS in the near future.
The source is claiming the LG Optimus G handset’s four 1.5 GHz CPU cores are letting it to run it blazing fast. There is no information available regarding the pricing or the launch date of this handset. We will come up with those details as soon as the devices goes official at IFA event in Berlin.
