It seems HTC is keeping everyone confusing about what it’s codenamed “Accord” Windows Phone 8 OS running smartphone will really be called when it is unveiled officially. A press shot and specification details of the Barny-colored HTC Accord handset have already leaked online. Today, it’s almost clear that the device will be renamed to the “HTC 8X” at launch. It seems XDA-Developers’ user Football got his hands on the quick guide of the upcoming Windows Phone 8 made by the Taiwanese manufacturer. According to the front page of the quick guide, HTC “8X” could be final product name of the first WP8 handset from the manufacturer.
As shown in the below image, HTC 8X is sporting a a front-facing camera on op, a dedicated camera button, LED notification, proximity sensor, audio jack, 3 buttons at bottom side. HTC has already released some handsets with suffix “X” in their product names, including the HTC Sensation XL, popular HTC One X and the rumored HTC One X+.
According to the previous leak from the same source, HTC 8X aka Accord was rumored to sport a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera on the back side, NFC support and expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD cards. It is expected to ship with Beats Audio integration on board. We’re hoping it’ll be unveiled very soon.
