AT&T has officially announced a nice Android mid-ranger – LG Escape, aiming at budget goers who prefer to choose adorable handsets. We’ve already covered a couple of previous leaks of the LG Escape handset. AT&T announced will soon join its Android lineup on September 16th sporting a reasonable and an affordable price tag of $49.99 when you prefer a two-year contract with AT&T.
Specs wise, the LG Escape handset will include a 4.3-inch qHD IPS display with 540 X 960 pixels of resolution, and runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960, perhaps) Other notable specifications are the 4 gigs internal storage, which can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot, 5MP rear-facing camera that can shoot true-to-life 1080p HD videos, 1.3MP front camera to make face-to-face video calls, NFC connectivity, Android beam, 2150mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0.
The handset will make use of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and it has 4G LTE support, and it will provide a promising solid battery life. The handset’s camera packs a number of software enhancements including time catch shot, “cheese shutter,” and different shot modes including Normal, HDR, Continuous and Panorama and there is a preinstalled Quick Memo app. Check out the Mobile Minute promo video of the LG Escape handset after the break.
