It seems Samsung and T-Mobile are prepping to bring an Android tablet for the users. Samsung isn’t giving up on its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 just yet. The manufacturer has recently dropped the Tab 2 10.1 tablet at FCC labs. Judging from the information grabbed from the listed documents submitted to the FCC, it has confirmed as T-Mobile’s version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. We also got its official model name SGH-T779.
In fact, the FCC docs haven’t specifically mentioned the product name. The FCC sketch (pictured above) is showing T-Mobile logo, 4G branding, and based on the dimensions of the tablet (see the below image), it could be Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet heading to T-Mobile network in the U.S. It is currently available as an unlocked version in the U.S. and Canada, starting at $399.99.
It’s a high-end spec’d Android tablet, which packs 10.1 TFT 1280 X 800 display, 1GB RAM, dual cameras, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, 7000mAh battery and it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Don’tbe surprised, if the T-Mobile’s version ships with Android 4.1 Jelly bean OS. A couple of days ago, Samsung has detailed the list of its devices for Jelly Bean upgrading in the near future and that list includes Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet.
