We are Extremely Sorry: Tim Cook Apple CEO on iOS 6 Map Mess

Apple iOS 6 Maps

Finally it is now official. We have been reporting that how terrible the iOS 6 Maps are! It was never a secret that the iOS 6 users are unhappy with Apple’s new Maps app in iOS 6. May questioned Apple’s motive of replacing Google’s Map app from the new OS. It was even pointed that the move seem to be very selfish at the cost of customer convenience. Till date the Apple management was mum on this well debated issue.

The company has admitted that the Maps are not world class but requested customers to be patient. In an official the letter released today, Tim Cook, Apple CEO says, Apple is “extremely sorry” for releasing a pre-cooked product and “we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.” He even tells customers to try other apps while Apple fixes its maps: “You can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.”
