Earlier Nokia Lumia 920 was being tested in Washington, now it’s the HTC Windows Phone 8X’s turn. From the above photo you can see three HTC 8Xs and an older Samsung phone are sun tanning. This was the photo captured while the HTC Windows Phone 8X was undergoing some type of carrier testing on a sunny Thursday morning in San Francisco. We assume that these phones are testing to grab on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
This appears to be carrier testing with perhaps different variations on radio signal strength testing. We can also assume that it may also be for static photo taking.
The HTC Windows Phone 8X has a 4.3 inch Super LCD 2 screen with resolution of 720 x 1280 which works out to a very impressive pixel density of 342ppi.It features a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor and 1GB of RAM. The HTC Windows Phone 8X has 16GB of memory ,a rear-facing 8MP in 1080p at 30fps , a 2MP camera on the front, and an 1800mAh battery keeps the lights on.
The carrier T-Mobile started collecting names and email addresses from those interested in the device. Amazon UK reports that this HTC Windows Phone 8X will ship on November 8.
Its unsubsidized pricing is in the range between $650 USD and $863 USD from Clove and Amazon UK respectively.
