Just over a month ago, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 5 handset on September 13th. Now, the Cupertino company is settling out to host an event in next week. Apple invited press and has begun distributing the invitations for an event that will take place on October 23rd. With the striking sentence “We’ve got a little more to show you.” in the invitation’s image with Apple logo in front of a colorful background, the event is undoubtedly when the company will unveil its first-ever smaller iPad, which is often referred to as the iPad Mini by the entire tech world.
The text “little” more means Apple is really gearing up to show off its little tablet. Earlier today, we reported that 7.85-inch iPad Mini is expected to be announced on October 23rd. One source has said according to a leaked documents, the iPad Mini will ship in no less than 12 different configurations, each coming in two color options to choose for: black and white. The document has revealed a list of iPad Mini SKUs – P101, P103, P105 and P107 editions. These hints are suggesting that the long rumored iPad Mini will have four storage options – 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. That means you can also expect to see the Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi + 3G, and Wi-Fi + LTE versions of the little Apple tablet referring to the three different distinctions “GOOD,” “BETTER,” and “BEST.” iPad Mini isn’t expected to carry the same design of the bigger iPad tablet. According to the source, the 8GB iPad Mini edition could be priced as low as $249.
ipad Mini will ships with the new iOS 6. The California Theatre in San Jose, Calif, will serve as the venue for the event. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. PT. Some reports are suggesting Apple has ordered more than 10 million units for the fourth quarter of this year.
