Android Jelly Bean Update Arriving
As for the firmware build, it’s the same one that rolled out in Eastern Europe earlier in the year: I9300XXDLIH. The update weighs 318.58MB, including the system version bump to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, new Home Screen mode plus some other features. The Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy S III will bring with it all that Jelly Bean has brought to Android such as Project Butter, Google Now and expanded notifications.

Samsung, as expected, added a little more to TouchWiz as well, there’re some additions to home screen management as well as a “Dormant” mode which is like an advanced silent mode. This Dormant mode will allow you to turn on call-blocking and stop certain notifications from coming through.

While JB update is new being pushed in various regions, US customers have to wait for the update till next year as reports suggest that the update will be available only in 2013.
