Hot on the heels of iOS 6.0.1 update, Apple has also begin the release of iOS 6.1 Beta update for their sixth major iteration of the iOS mobile operating system for compatible iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 3, and iPod touches. and now available to registered iOS developers via the official developers center. Beta versions for the newly launched iPad mini and iPad 4 tablets have not yet been provided.
The latest beta edition is reportedly labeled as build “10B5095f.” iOS 6.0.1 beta update includes improvements to Apple’s “Map Kit Searches” that let developers search for map-based addresses and points of interest with the help of new APIs. The beta build also address some unknown changes to Mobile Safari browser and carrying improvements to how passes are managed in the new Passbook app.
Along with the iOS 6.0.1 update, the Cupertino based company has also seeded the new Xcode 4.6 Developer Preview, carrying the “4H90b” build number and includes a set of enhancements including the supporting auto layout of interfaces on OS X and iOS, addition of some changes to fully support the Retina Display of the MacBook Pros.
