Another device which is now available at a similar pricing is the LG Optimus G.  This is also an exciting device with a mind blowing 13MP Camera but there is another heart throbbing device from Samsung, which is the GALAXY Note II. This may be a $100 costlier than the previous two devices but it has got a 5.5-inch HD display. Let us compare these devices to give you a heads up on which  device to buy with an analysis of the newly announced HTC DROID DNA’s expected performance.

HTC’s DROID DNA  has stunning similarities with its J Butterfly model. The DROID DNA packs a 5″ Super LCD 3 1080p display that offers full HD quality, pixel density of 440ppi, runs Jelly Bean, 1.5GHz APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU. It is LTE capable with 16GB internal storage 2GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, 2020mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0/BLE, and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. The DROID DNA weighs only 138g and is 9.7mm thick. One of the main drawback will be the lack of a MicroSD Card Slot.

Coming to the LG Optimus G, it runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS(Which is upgradable to JB), sports a 4.7-inch True IPS-HD display with 320ppi, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz mobbed with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear-facing, 1.3 MP front-facing , micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. Both the devices have similar specs except that the DROID DNA has much more pixels.

In a comparison at PocketNow, it is derived that due to much higher pixel capability of the HTC DROID DNA, it is expected to have a slower performance than the LG Optimus G even though both the devices have identical processor and memory. This is only a theoretical analysis, actual results are not yet known.

On the other side, Samsung Galaxy Note II has got a much larger 5.5-inch Super HD AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution, 267 PPI, higher clocked a 1.6 GHz Exynos quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM which, a rear 8 Megapixel Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, a front 1.9MP camera, Bluetooth v 4.0, NFC with Google Wallet service, and a massive 3,300 mAh battery. Well these massive increase do comes with a price. This device is $100 costlier than the above two.

It is notable that the new DROID DNA has much higher pixel capability than the costlier Galaxy Note II also. The device’s display is considered on par with the iPhone’s retina Display even though it is a bit smaller than the Galaxy Note 2′s 5.5-inch screen. But it has got 2,020mAh battery, which is smaller than Galaxy Note II’s 3,300mAh battery and Optimus G’s 2100mAh.
