The original Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N700 phablet’s Jelly Bean update has leaked yet again, another sign that the update could be coming soon. The folks over SamMobile have leaked the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean build for the 1st gen Note. The last we heard the Galaxy Note was scheduled to receive Android 4.1 sometime in Q4 of this year and we’ve also heard that Sammy is already testing this handset’s Jelly Bean update.
By all accounts the leaked Jelly Bean build seems to be working great on the 1st gen phablet. Users are also reporting that it is running smoothly for those that have installed it. The build is based on November 20th. The working enhancements and features of this build are including Google Now, Multi-View screen, Project Butter, Page Buddy app, customizable Notification Panel, new Samsung keyboard, 2 Home screens mode, new Notification bar, new widgets that barrowed from GS III, Samsung’s own Cloud services, Smart Rotation, Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play Features.
So far everything looks pretty standard here, but the leaked build is currently lacking S-Pen features. This build takes the Note to the new software version Android 4.1.2 and the build number bumps up to JZO54KN7000XXLSA.
Galaxy Note owners who are interested in installing this unofficial Jelly Bean build at this point should be careful. This ROM isn’t in the final version, so we advice you wait for the official update which is scheduled to roll out in the coming weeks. Hopefully, it gets the update by the end of this year. Samsung, don’t push it to early 2013!

We are not sure whether or not the manufacturer is also planning to roll out Android 4.2 update for the Galaxy Note. we guess it will get an update to Android 4.1 before Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is latest version. On the other side, Samsung Galaxy S III handset has got its own Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update over the AT&T and Sprint networks. But, Samsung has not confirmed anything yet for the Verizon and AT&T models. The manufacturer has officially confirmed to upgrade the Canada based Galaxy S III, beginning next Monday, Dec. 3rd, though we are still missing the information for the carrier specific models in Canada.
