Samsung Unveils GALAXY Grand with 5″ WVGA Screen, 1.2GHz Dual-Core Pro, Dual-Sim

Samsung has unveiled the Samsung GALAXY Grand with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), 5.0’’ WVGA display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor. It also features true multitasking running multiple apps simultaneously and without switching screens using Multi Window feature.

GALAXY Grand boasts of a seamless multitasking with its Dual Core processor. The rear 8MP camera features a zero shutter-lag and ultra-quick camera start-up. It includes a backside illumination sensor to ensure clear shots even in dark conditions, as well as Full HD video recording.

An unusual feature for a high end phone is the Dual-SIM Support. The GALAXY Grand will be available in two versions – The Dual SIM version (GT-I9082) and the single SIM version (GT-I9080). Built with a 2,100mAh battery, 8GB of ROM and a microSD slot for expansion of up to 64GB. It has HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps down, 5.76 up) connectivity on 850 / 1900 / 2100 bands, along with Bluetooth, DLNA and WiFi.

The GALAXY Grand will be launched in the Dual SIM version (GT-I9082) first and the single SIM version (GT-I9080) will follow. But there is no mention of its debut or sale. We are hoping to see the device in CES 2013, and will keep you posted.
