New reports suggest that Nokia is planning to introduce a 10-inch Windows RT tablet for an introduction in next year’s Mobile Congress World (MWC) which is set to be held from 25 to 28 Feb 2013.
It is reported that Nokia has discussed cooperation with Microsoft, Qualcomm and Compel Electronics to manufacture the Windows RT tablet and the device will be packed with Qualcomm’s S4 Processor and it is likely to be launch in Barcelona, Spain during the MWC. Nokia had already planned to introduce the 10-inch Windows RT tablet in first quarter of this year but Microsoft introduced its Surface tablet. So Nokia delayed the development of the tablet.
Few months ago, after Nokia unveiled its flagship devices including Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 which are running Windows Phone 8 operating system, the mobile manufacturer also announced earlier this month, they will be adding another Windows Phone 8-powered Lumia device, Lumia 620 to the family in Q1 2013. Unlike its flagship devices Lumia 920 and 820, the Lumia 620 is considered as an entry level device which will be packed with a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 512MB of RAM and 5 MP Camera with LED flash, NFC and others. The device will be launched in Asia first, then Europe and the Middle East for $249. Earlier this week, we also found some leaked pictures of Lumia 825 online in China. It is expected that it would be an upgrade to its Lumia 820 by adding the features of PureMotion branding, and it will have 16GB internal storage which is more than Lumia 820’s 8GB.
We have no information regarding the pricing and other details of the Nokia Tablet. We will bring you more updates soon.
